Welcome Back to School!
Dear Weld RE-1 Students, Families, and Staff,
As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, I want to extend a heartfelt welcome back. The start of a new school year is always a time of renewed hope and possibility—a fresh chapter in our shared commitment to ensuring every student learns, grows, and thrives.
This year, we continue to build on the foundation we’ve laid through our five-year strategic plan. Together, we are focusing on strengthening instruction in every classroom, increasing academic rigor and expectations for all students, and ensuring every learner feels included, supported, and challenged. With the launch of our new math curriculum, ongoing professional learning for our educators, and an emphasis on data-driven instruction, we are aligning our work to what matters most—student success.
At the heart of Weld RE-1 are our people. I’m incredibly proud of the dedication and care our staff brings each day, the support our families provide, and the resilience and curiosity our students show. It takes all of us working together to create schools where learning is engaging, safe, and student-centered.
As we prepare for the first day of school, we invite families to join us for our Back-to-School Nights to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and help students feel excited and ready for the year ahead:
We are excited to welcome students back on the following dates:
Thank you for your continued partnership and belief in our district. I look forward to a great year ahead filled with collaboration, growth, and achievement.
